long time, no see

hello my friends...it has been a while since i have updated my jernie...well...its taken on a whole new jernie...i have decided to start the loc process...now my hair had grown a lot and so when i went to get my stater locs, its was a decent length...i started them on dec.18, 2008...and i love it...some of them are starting to loc-up...got'em tightend up right before my birthday...and now i am not so scared to add a lil flare to my hair in wearing them in different ways...its pretty cool...i dont think my peeps really understand whats really going on...of course granny doesnt like it...she never likes my hair...then it later grows on her...my sister wants to go natural, but she is too scared...yeah, i called u out sis...luv ya still...all right gang...til next time...

BLOW OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

I blew out my hair then put it in huge 2-strand twists.
OMG I didnt really realize how much my hair has grown.



This one is after i fingered through my hair. OMG it is sooooo big... i wasnt feelin it at first...but...AND!!...i was getting ready to go to work...it's not like i was off and could experience it for a day first...

So I decided to put a headband on...it helped it out...i like it...it took a whole day to come to grips with the new look, but it was worth it...something different from the tight curly q's...

So what do u think?

Like i said...it does what i want to...i know this pic is a lil dark...nbut this was after i had washed and twisted my hair...i then took the twists out...FUNK IT OUT!

OMG...i am so in love with my hair...it does what i want when i want...and then there are times that it doesnt...i have received so many compliments on the "new" way that i wear my hair...most want to do theirs like mines, but is too scared to do it...just make the big chop...its ok...u will still have the wonderful personality that u posess...

OMG!!!!

It's done...the braids are out and it is on in my new world. the jernie has begun. it all started a moth ago when i decided to take my braids out. now i wore the two-strand twists for almost four months. so it was time to let MY hair breathe from the braids. and of course it was something that i had been thinking about and researching and the fact that my best friend has statred locs, it made things just a lil bit easier.

now, most black people think that once ur hair starts getting nappy its time to perm it, relax it or whatever u want to call it. but what they fail to realize is that the chemicals only makes it worse for their hair. our hair is naturally kinkyand curly..and that is just what my hair likes to do...it curls up and seems to be kinky, but it's not...
